I have a cheapy antenna that I hook up to my AM/FM in the glove box.  I lay 
it on the cab floor.  It seems to work fine.  If I am headed to a show, I 
disconnect it and throw it behind the seat.  I have thought of mounting it 
permanently under the dash too.
