I also have the universal tube-type motor mount to adapt a V8 to my 51 (54
3600 frame).  I did not, however, get the instructions on how to install
the motormount and I cannot remember if I have to remove the original
crossmember to install this motormount and a SBC engine?  Seems like there
is a problem with the pan, etc.  Can someone tell me what I am supposed to
do?

Thanks for your response.

I do not have the catalogue - is there a picture you can scan and sent?  Is
it a "u" shaped mount that bolts onto both frame rails and runs under the
engine?  This is the type of universal bolt in mount that I have already.
