In 1961, My freind bought a used 1956 Chev 1/2 ton, and we found a 348 truck
engine
(tall block) the heads are flat, the combustion chamber is in the block. We
built that engine to 335 specs, and installed it. It was probably the
fastest p/u around at that time.
about 90 mph in the 1/4. ran really good , not to good on gas.
