Several years ago, I had a couple of lifters give me some problems. I took
and drained the oil, (cold) filled the crank case up with ATF, then fired up
my engine. I let it run until the exhaust manifold was warm to the touch.
Then I drained the ATF, and refilled with motor oil. Have not had any
problems since. BTW that was 18 years ago.
