Hollander manual for 1955, vol. 21 says no, or at least it does not say yes. Look for casting #3835587 for a 235 and 261 and 3835388 on the 216. Strangely, for the GMC, the 1/2 ton with 228 is the same manifold as the 1 1/2 ton with a 236. I would see if they match up.
