[oletrucks] Gas Tank Float

Guys while cleaning all the gunk out of my gas tank I discovered that the 
float on the sending unit has two huge holes in it.  Can this be repaired?  
Where can I buy a new one?  Is there something else I can use in its place.

I would appreciate any info/ideas.
