"I'm trying to figure out what distributor 1112353-OJ26 (Delco Remy) came out of." The part that reads 0J26 is the date code, 0 is the last digit of the year (1950 or 1960), J is the month (10th letter in alphabet makes it October or thereabouts), and 26 is the day. I'd guess that the distributor is out of a 1961 engine. This is the common Delco date coding scheme. Jim oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
