|         OK, let me show my ignorance.  What is the difference between split 
rims 
        and widow makers?  I thought that split rims were the type you had to 
        air up in a cage to keep the rim from slicing your head off if it 
popped 
        off.  I've been thinking to avoid the split rims on a 54 3/4 ton 
because 
        of this.  Am I mistaken?
