Each list message declares at it's conclusion:
oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959

Discussion of list protocol is, IMHO, off topic and off topic posts are
one of my personal pet peeves. This is the second time in six years of
internet use that I've made an offtopic post, so I'll apologize now.

On the other hand, this list is a bit different and has a large contingent
of folks who are new to the net and/or computing. I (and most others
I know) don't mind helping new people learn "netiquette", but there are
other lists for that purpose. Any list that encourages offtopic
"how do I *?" posts, will quickly become clogged with them. Posts about
viruses or trojan horses, and other offtopic posts (like this one)
distract from and reduce the efficiency of the discussion of the topic at
hand, which in this case is AD and TF trucks.

I don't want to start the RTFM banwagon rolling, but I would strongly
reccommend reading RFC 1855, especially sections 3.1.1 - 3.1.2. RFCs are
archived in several places like http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1855.html

If we're to have an argument on this list, please let it be about trucks.
