To all that have responded to my gear grinding question, thank you.

Since my last post, I have adjusted the travel of my clutch pedal to the
specs in the shop manual (3/4" - 1"), and am still having the same
problem. If I start the truck in neutral, with the clutch pedal pushed
in or left out, there is no movement. If I place it in gear before I
start it, and depress the clutch nothing happens, but if I release the
pedal then the wheel rotates. If I start it in gear with no clutch, it
tries to move as well. If I wait and try to put it in gear with the
motor running, it still grinds and will not go into gear.

I am now having a problem getting the truck to go into any gear, running
or not. I'm heading out to the shop now and am going to try and
re-adjust the linkage, as this seems like the next logical step.
John, is this enough info to help with your diagnosis, or do you need
more?
This list is amazing.
Thanks again
Brad
