I managed to buy a 1956 TN state license plate, the last year that they were
shaped like the state. . .after that they were plain old rectangles like
everyone else's.
This one was redone but it was painted orange with white letters--U of TN
colors--instead of the black with white letters that it's supposed to have
for 1956.
The black is easy, but how do I paint the raised letters, numbers, and
characters so that they have the original effect and not have it look
hand-painted? And I would think a roller would give it ragged edges. . .
Any suggestions?
I'm still looking for other 1956 TN plates but in the mean time intend to
"fix" this one.
Thanks,
