[oletrucks] 55 GMC +/- 6/12

OK, so I am trying to start a new old 55 that hasn't
run for 3 years.
How can you tell if a 55-1 GMC has been converted to
12 volts? More urgent, is it true that GMCs had the
ground reversed? How can you tell if it is positive or
negative ground?
