I believe that the "hammertone" finish was used only on the heaters
in these old Chevy trucks. I have used the "hammertone" spray bombs years ago
with good results. All paints have recently been reformulated in accordance
with edicts from the greenfurhers at the EPA so the new paint may or may not
perform as well. Housepaint is much the poorer for the changes.
