Grant,

You might consider adding WaterWetter.  I read about it on a MB list.  They
are very very picky about what they put in their cars.  There are severe
consequences if the new MB does not use the proper pH anti freeze.  I forget
the consequences.

But, WaterWetter works according to them.  I have not had a need for this
but it would be one of the first things I would  try after making sure the
mechanical things were OK.
