I have heard a rumor (hearsay, BS, what have you) that 235 heads with head
casting numbers of 3836848 are the one's to find and keep. Is this correct?
If yes, why?
I just got back from a parts run in Oregon. Bought a cab for $100, doors $75
and a complete 235 $100. Found all of this at a place near Stayton, Oregon.
The guy runs his own Chevy parts business out of his yard. He has no written
inventory and deals mostly in Task Force and 67-72 parts.
He has a complete Pontiac V-8 out of a GMC truck (I think someone out there
was looking for one). I also saw a Task Force 5 window cab from a dump truck.
Lots of little stuff laying around too. The place is a disaster, but he's a
cool guy and the prices are right.
