Why don't you retain the rear discs and convert the front? I have an 80
firebird rearend in my 56 and I have been watching and looking for the parts to
convert it to disk brakes for quite awhile. Certain 79-81 Z-28s and TransAms
came with a factory rear disk brake option and they are not the easiest units
to find. The last rearend like this I saw for sale was about 8-9 years ago,
used of course in unknown condition and the guy was asking $300 for it. If it
were mine, I'd go to 4-wheel disks. -Bob
