Sunday October 6, 1996 will be this year's edition of San Diego British Car
Day. A change of venue from last year, this year the site will be at the
Four Points Inn near Montgomery Field. Gates open at 0900, judging at 1200,
"The Games" at 1300, and awards and door prizes/raffle at 1400. Entry fee is
$15, spectators get in free.

The Sunbeam Owners Group of San Diego will be trying to regain its
preeminence in the games, having lost last year to the Austin Healey club
after four years of victory. The SOGs battled the Jaguar Club to a
tiebreaker win in 1993 and just barely defeated the California Association of
Tiger Owners in 1994. This year the SOGs have to reach back to the bench to
field their team with the loss of one of their stellar performers who will be
attending Federal cop school in Georgia at the time of the event.

MG and Triumph owners have always been present in greater numbers than any
other marque, but just don't seem to have the stamina among their memberships
to pose much of a threat.

Among the unusual entries received so far this year is a Bedford Dormobile.
You'll just have to see it!
