Hi Joel,

Interesting question. The first B210 was in 74, and had a 1300 engine and
only a 4 speed. The small one, which is a joy to shift. Smooth as silk.
The 73 car was known as a 1200 and also had the same 4 speed trans, and no 5
speed available.. In 75, the B210 had a 1400 engine and it's first 5 speed.

This 5 speed was used through 77 and was a big, as in physical dimensions, 5
speed. I've never fit one of those into a Morris, but it's possible that it
would fit. It has the European or rally shift pattern. First and reverse
in the same line, 5th away from you and back, like the Morris 4 speed has
the reverse position.

The only thing I'm certain of, it will bolt up to the adapter plate, but
have no idea if it will fit under the floorboards without touching it.
Likely that could be addressed and with a few custom cuts or pounding, it
might fit OK.

If you have a 73 5 speed transmission, it might be one from a 510 and that
one simply won't fit up to the adapter plate or fit in the car either, for
that matter. The 510 one can be easily identified, as it has an oil pan
type bottom to it, instead of the split case type of construction.

Hope this helps some, I know it's not a definite answer as the 73 B210 never
had a 5 speed, to my knowledge.
