I have papers for what is an important Morgan early +8
Its the 1971 Earls Court Morgan plus 8, later delivered to a
Mr. Roger Lott
1555 Browning Ave
Salt Lake City, UTAH 84105
Its serial number is R7285, its Plate number is VOL 534J
I have registration papers for it showing 1 June 1971, Delivery Date 5
June 1971
of note you find A.R. Lott on one paper, so he may have used his middle
name.
its engine number is 41400289C, purchase price was 434pounds and
68pence.
It has a May 1972 Tax disc with Allon White &Son of Cranfield on the
back. stamped May 20 with same plate number.
A Mr. Robert Dunstan, who had the car until 1999 wrote
I think Mr Lott was the one who purchased the car from the Earl's Court
motor show and used it in England for a little while before bringing it
to the US. I bought it at an auction here in Jackson back in 1997 after
it had spent time in Jerome, Idaho.
I drove it to New Jersey via Canada from here (quite a trip and not
something I'd do again in a Morgan!), put it on a boat and picked it up
at Southampton a few weeks later. That was back in 1999. After a week of
touring around the Cotswolds I delivered it to Wykeham's.
Anyway, I hope this summary makes its way to the proper owner and the
papers will follow, no charge if we can find him!
