I have been using one of the after market wedge shaped
air filters on my `66 +4 for several years.  I look at
air filters as a reasonable preventative measure. I do
not notice any difference in the cars performance that
can be attributed to the filter. I am not driving
competitivly though. An air filter is no more an
option than seat belts in my view.
