| Subject: | Oil pump to gauge (and one-shot oiler) fitting on '71 Plus-8 |

There's a special fitting on the oil pump of my '71 Plus-8. It has fine
thread (metric) threads on one side (the pump) and something thoroughly
stripped on the other. I ordered a replacement from Morgan Spares (Robert
Couch says there's only one such thing) but it doesn't fit -- it has coarse
threads on the pump side (Yes, I checked the other hole on the pump body).
Any ideas short of machining something else to fit?
Thanks in advance.
Dave.
