I will bite...keep the thread going. I first saw a Morgan in unrestored
condition also in school in the early 70's...Freinds father's. He has since
restored it for the second time in it's life. A trip to England in early
80's followed a lifelong love of lbc's and a return trip in early 90's had
the sub-goal of seeking out the unusual...Micro cars and Morgan Trikes.
After seeing numerous of both at shows and thru acquaintences and one hair
raising ride thru the countryside under the piloting of a freind in his
seventees, I was hooked. Thus started my quest for a trike...many years
and dead ends later, am now writing this the week of the first 'legal' drive
in my recently aquired 33 SS Matchless MX4. I finally got the licencing
Thursday afternoon. Several trips later... Great ride but oh...those
gears! I can tell that the car is not intended to stay clean...you don't
wax it...just spread the oil around. It was a thrill to finally get it back
on the road. Car came to U.S. in 69 and came to me in Canada early April.
Paperwork took some doing but now it's legal...
>Noisy but fun. It shares the stable with a distant cousin...Bond Mk A
(1950). Looking forward to shows and ice cream runs... It is by far my most
unusual lbc to date...It is preceded by 25 years of MG's, Triumphs, Austin
Healey, Austin Mini, Land Rover, Allard (for sale) and the current Bond.
...still restoring, still having fun...bob
