Attention Morg 4 seater owners:

I have a 53 flat rad I am restoring and have a question on the placement of
the wooden seat runners. On this model (at least on this one) the seats have
metal frames. They are supported by wooden runners which are screwed to the
floor boards between the cross-frame member supporting the transmission and
the cross-frame member behind the seats and are held in placed by a clamp
which goes through the front of the seat frame and through the transmission
cross-member with long bolts and wing-nuts.

This car has been modified several times and I don’t know if the current
position and
height of the wooden runners is correct as they look out of place therefore,
I have some questions. First, should the seat runners be the same height as
the frame cross-members. This would solve the problem I have in adjusting
the seats and their ending up on a slant with the metal seat frame not fully
supported. Second, where are your wooden runners located in relation to the
cross-members? Do they butt up to the front or rear cross-member? Finally,
are the seats held in place by more than one clamp per seat?

Your comments would be appreciated.
