In that case for me I definitely wouldn't use lead. If you want an 'invisible' repair and the holes are nice and round then I'd probably use washers, shaped for any curve then the centre hole welded up. Weld in, grind down, fill and flat. More or less what I did when I filled in the aerial hole in a rear wing.
