> Is there a trick, technique, or tool that is needed to remove the tach cable from the block. No tool should be required. If it wasn't cross-threaded on assembly then it should unscrew by hand. It is also possible that dissimilar materials has caused some galvanic corrosion. In that case I'd apply some penetrating oil (Kroil, PB blaster, or a 50/50 mix of acetone/ATF) and let that soak in. Repeat the soaking daily for a few days then try again with pliers (counter clockwise when viewed from above).
