Well, without drilling, you can use a C clamp in the center of the gap.
I used to use a 1and a 1/4 inch C clamp to seal the top bow to the windshield
frame. us a bit of rubber or leather if your chrome is nice.
I think it was 1 1/4" Measure first. :)
