Consider it opportunity to back flush your rad, inspect your hoses and replace
weak clamps. Comes out easily and goes in easily.

I did when I replaced it in my 79B. I don't know if I had too, but it
looked like it would make it a lot easier. The pump replacement itself
takes only about 30 minutes.
