Bob, I will be able to tell you that in a couple of months. I'm putting A/C in
my '61 Mercedes Ponton. It has a whopping 68hp in a heavier car. I'll use the
old Chevy Vega trick of a full throttle switch that disconnects the compressor
clutch when you need WOT power.

20 years ago I was beside a rubber-bumper Midget at a stoplight in
Sarasota FL. It had an AC that must have been making great amounts of
cold, as there was condensation all over the top, windshield and door
windows; the condensation was on the outside surface. One wonders how
much power was available at the rear wheels.
