Try living on the other side of the planet.
I say that I have no problems with the part/product taking six weeks
via "slow boat" but I get told they have some deal/contract with a
freight company and they have to send it "overnight" (which means
five or six days to Australia). The freight/delivery charge is
frequently as much as the item itself.
I ask them just to pop it in the mail, surface delivery (which
usually comes over by air anyway) but they refuse. I refuse to buy
from them.
