Adjust the choke levers first to assure that the two jets start to move at
the same time. Then adjust the choke cable length to give the cable 3/8"
of travel before the jets start to move. Then set the cam link to position
the cam close to the fast idle arm when the choke knob/cable ar pushed
in. Then set the fast idle screw to just touch the cam when at rest.
The first 3/8" travel of the cable will then operate the fast idle before
before the choke comes on at the jets. When you release the knob/cable the
cam has to go back to the rest position, and it is okay if the adjuster
screw actually pushes it down, as long as the torsion spring on the
throttle shaft can overcome any friction in the cam.
