The hose going to the caliper can deterioate on the inside without showing on the outside, the deterioation can take the form of a check valve that can keep the pressure from releasing as it should. I would replace both front brake hoses as my next step before I went to the caliper route. Bill '74BGT I can find no > evidence of dragging - I can push the can on level ground with one arm.
