All I can say about Hagerty is positive, but untested.
i) for $70 a year in New Jersey (the highest or 2nd highest cost in the US
for car insurance), I consider Hagerty a great find. My MG was first
insured with the same firm that does my family cars, and it was ~$500/half
year.
Hagerty spontaneously offered me a useful increase in replacement value
for only $10 a year. I did appreciate that. They did so, according to their
papers, because they realized the replacement costs of a B, even a 76B,
were going up.
ii) I have yet to have a claim. X(crossed fingers)
iii) With historic plates in NJ, I drive as I like with no practical limit.
My B is not a daily driver, but a fun vehicle.
Hagerty is, so far, exactly what I expected and it has delivered.
