heh. that's good. must remember.
Anyway, as a list manager some time in the past, I have always set up
lists to work like the mgs list is currently set up.
There are many reasons for this, but the one that I consider important
is this:
Mistakes happen. It is much easier to apologize to one person for
sending something privately when you meant to send it publicly than
vice-versa.
Regarding this, when I set up mailing lists at my previous employer, the
people on the list were very happy (almost elated) that replies went to
sender, not to the list. They were sick of all the "me too" messages
that they got all the time whenever anybody posted.
The secondary is that it makes a person _think_ before just immediately
hitting reply and firing off a message. Thinking is good. :)
