Hi Larry, Is your distributor in good shape as to wobble and end play? Does the rotor fit good and tight on the shaft? That "collar" looks like an epoxy ring molded around the magnets and is held down by the rotor, which is held down by the cap. At highway speeds it's only turning at 2200 rpm or so, so I suspect there's something (vibration) going on in your dizzy. Cheers, CR |
