Was this one click each time you turned the key to start? Or a series of
clicks while you held the key in the start position.

If the former, and it is a loud single click from the solenoid, then it
looks like solenoid contacts, a bad heavy-current connection at the solenoid
or starter.

If the latter then it is either insufficiently charged battery or bad
connections in the heavy current circuit i.e. main cable from battery to
solenoid and/or battery and engine/transmission ground straps. Could also
be a bad starter relay or its connections, or bad solenoid.

Do the lights still shine bright when you are cranking the engine? I
suspect not, but if they do I would go for the engine ground strap first.
