Bill, Yes, the fluid always goes back into the rad. when the engine cools. The reason for this is the pressure cap is on the overflow tank, the original rad cap is replaced with a flat cap off Austin America which is nothing more than a flat piece of metal with tangs to hold it to the neck of the rad, and a rubber gasket. Because of this, I almost never have to add coolant, and the rad stays full and rust free. Rick |
