Has anyone had problems in the recent heat with their coil getting hot and killing the ignition system? I have a brand new 12V coil in the 77 and it is ballasted, I also have a 25D points distributor. This weekend on the way to the Red Mill show in Clinton, NJ - the car decided to quit, it figures doesn't it!! Anyone have any ideas? Should I pull the ballast ressistor out? Get a "hotter" coil? TIA, Erik. "Free web-based email available now at http://www.theglobe.com" |
