Another thing we have to look out for are people on Rollerblades- I had a
teenage girl fall in in front of me in the road the other day. I was in my
Toyota 4x4 pickup, so I was sitting high enough to see it coming. If I was in
my MG she would have been harder to see as I would have been sitting much
lower. Luckily, she fell away from the road, but the items she was carrying
fell into the road, and I had to swerve to avoid hitting them. Around here
the roads are narrower than a lot of other places and Rollerbladers are
always a concern. Their balance isn't as good as a runner or walker; if one
hits a pebble the wrong way they can take a spill into traffic, so watch out!
