Boy, is my face red! After believing the glowing description of the owner,
as to how terrific his 67 BGT is, I posted the "for sale" note the other
day. After all, it is true that a chrome-wire-wheeled '67 BGT with overdrive
is a pretty nice car. My recollection, from when I saw the car about
eighteen months ago, was that it was a good one.

So, poor old Lonn Howard flew from Seattle to Sacramento, after talking to
the owner and getting the same "It's a great car" story, to make the deal.
Then he called me to tell me what it was really like......

All I can do is (a) apologize to Lonn for being a trusting soul and (b)
promise publicly never again to offer to help sell a car that I have not
personally inspected carefully in the recent past.

So, if anyone wants a '67 BGT with chrome wires, overdrive, a
partially-fitted interior, rust in the rocker panels and a poor paint job
over an amateurishly repaired left rear corner, I know where there is
one..............
