Packaway Hood Frame / Boot Mystery

After pulling the sodden carpet out of the boot to dry out I noticed
a block of foam and a rubber strap in one of the wells.  Clausager
mentions this is for securing the pack-away hood frame (page 28).
The picture doesn't show how its all supposed to be aligned though, 
does anyone know the "proper" (read: factory) way of stowing it?
