Hi Tom, Methinks the red wire is to get power to the ignition module. The module runs on 12 volts. There is probably a ballast wire in your ignition harness. When you hooked up the module, 6 volts was dropped across the ballast, leaving only 6 volts to run the module. It didn't like the starvation diet! ;^). CR |
