MGA Worth looking at?

I found a '61 MGA in the local paper today and would like your
collective opinion . . . the ad says excellent body, but has a GM (as in
General Motors) 4 cylinder engine installed.  The asking price is $1950,
but I'm guessing I could get it for a lot less.  How hard would it be to
find a stock powerplant (and transmission??) and drop it in?
