Bob, You touched on it. The condensation will usually go away when the engine is allowed to get fully heated (more than a short trip). I also found the type oil used can help or hinder its formation. That is when I went from Quaker State to Valvoline in the early 70's and saw a difference on the same car with the same drive time. Don't ask me what in the oil made the difference, but it helped. R.
