I just finished replacing the alternator (damn that will make a long
story some day, let's just say: curiosity killed the, what is it?, wheel
chock?) with one from AutoZone (cheap, lifetime warrenty, and the casing is
even stamped with "Lucas") in my '72 B. After I got it in, I jumped the car
and ran it for about 15 to 20 minutes. There was good voltage across the
battery while it was running.
When I shut it off and went to start it again, all I got was
repeated clicks from the solenoid. Gotta be the battery, right? I want a
second opinion before heading out to buy a new one.
        TIA,
