I was just pondering this Zenith to SU HS4 conversion I want to do on my 
77B and I have a question. 
Can I leave the original exhaust header in place and just swap out the 
intake and carbs or is the catalytic converter going to be a problem?
That would be really nice if I could do that!
Also, many on the list have said that there will be an appreciable 
horsepower increase with the SUs, but a few have also said that there 
will be no difference at all except for easier maintenance.
Is there a quantified tru answer?
Hypothetical situation: Stock 77B 18V883Ae motor, Z/S carb, points 
ignition changing only carbs and exhuast if necessary.
