Hi Karl,

  If you can get it in gear by stabbing the clutch pedal several times
in succession (like pumping up the brakes) and then shifting it, then
bleeding will help.  It could be there's oil on the clutch mechanism
which got there thru a leaky rear crankshaft seal.  In the morning, if
you put the car in gear, push the clutch pedal to the floor, start the
engine and the car tries to move, it's likely there's oil in there. 
Makes things stick together.  Do you get any chatter on engagement when
the thing is cold?
