GT Headliner removal

Jim Boyd and I were discussing salvaging a headliner for my GT and neither
of us know how to go about removal without ruining it.  (My GT had a diamond
tuffed vinyl headliner.  Note I say HAD, as in past tense) The removal
process I went through would not be conducive to reinstalling the same unit. :=O

Anyone got any experience with this?  Pointers?
