I use 185 70 r14 with no clearance problems. I think 195 with the same
offset as the rostyle will do fine. There are people on the list with that
setup. I used the stiffer uprated spring set for front and back which also
lower the car and the ride was much stiffer. verry little roll around turns.
If your exhaust is not mounted very close to the car you will have to be
real carefull going over speed bumps but do to the stiffer springs the car
does not dip as much on the bounce so it's really not that bad. It looks
better but I did it for the handling. When they raised the rubber bumper
cars to meet fed regulations it raised the center of gravity and handling
went down the tubes. The rear sway bar was added to compensate and the front
was made thicker. The extra weight of the bumpers is a real drag too so
getting them down another inch lower makes a huge difference in the turns. I
think the stiffer springs have a lot to do with that too though. I also have
the tube shock conversion which I am pleased with. I don't know if the
original shocks will still align properly when you lower the car. The shock
links may be the wrong length to opperate the shock without bottoming out.
You may also need to get shorter bump stops to allow for further suspension
travel at the new lower hight especially if you don't use uprated springs. I
don't have them and haven't had a problem but I know people who have non
uprated springs that lowered the car and hear a thump now and then. With 195
on the car you could easilly go up to a 3/4 sway bar on the front. It's on
the list for my B with 185s. On hard turns and heavy acceleration I lift and
spin the back wheel on the inside of the turn. The 3/4 sway should limit
that but it could also be the stock bump stop interferring with the roll of
the back of the car in the turn causing it to lift the other side. The
shorter bump stops are on the list when extra money comes around

Does it work ok? Any clearance problems (I have 195/65/14s)?
ride/handling compromise ok? Looks improved enough for the trouble?
