One book that has more information than anyone could ever use, or want,
is the Ashley Book of Knots. Pages and pages of fancy ropework, lacings,
sennets and more. This is a reference book for sailing instructors who
face a week of rain with a class of energetic kids, and for the offshore
sailor with little else to do. Check the town library.
