 Congratulations.
I've had fine results with the Moss top, the one for which you re-use
the headrail.
When you drill the rivets, the bottoms of the things will drop into the
headrail, where they will roll around and rattle. Does anyone know how
to keep that from happening? It annoyed me, slightly, for years. I
considered drilling a hole and filling the headrail with foam, though one
supposes that since the hole is drilled, the rivets could be extracted
through it....
Since you're buying a new top, you have the choice of the top with the
fixed rear window or the zipper window that was installed on the 77s and
later. Go for the zipper window, even if it's a few bucks more. It's
very nice to be able to open that at times, and easier to stow the top.
Bob
who wishes he still had the MGB tourer, to fit with the B-GT and the TD
roadster.
